Red Marsh School

Project Summary

Introduction

Bambers Construction is proud to have recently delivered a package of improvement works at Red Marsh School, designed to enhance accessibility, safety, and comfort for both students and staff.

Project Overview

Enhancing Safety, Accessibility and Learning Environments

The school identified a need to improve the safety of its transport drop off arrangements and to modernise parts of the building fabric. Our team was engaged to deliver a scheme that would not only resolve these issues but also provide long lasting benefits through durable, energy efficient upgrades.

In planning and delivery, special consideration was given to minimising disruption to the school community. Works were phased around school holidays wherever possible, and clear access to the school was maintained at all times.

Energy Efficiency Upgrades

Installation of energy efficient UPVC windows and new doors to reduce heat loss and lower energy consumption.

Improved Security and Durability

New aluminium entrance doors provide increased security, robustness, and ease of use.

Modernised Learning Environment

Upgraded glazing and ventilation contribute to better natural light, improved airflow, and overall comfort.

Reduced Maintenance Requirements

Durable, low maintenance materials selected to minimise future upkeep and long term costs.

VALUE ADDED

Works were carefully planned and delivered to ensure minimal disruption, maintaining full access and operational continuity for both Red Marsh School and neighbouring North Fold School. The project also incorporated value engineering solutions to maximise outcomes within budget constraints, without compromising on quality or performance.

PUBLIC IMPACT

The improvements have created a safer and more efficient environment for daily school operations, particularly benefiting students with additional needs. Enhanced traffic flow, improved accessibility, and upgraded facilities contribute to a more secure and welcoming setting for pupils, staff, and visitors.

SOCIAL VALUE

As part of Bambers Construction’s commitment to supporting the next generation, a T-Level student was invited to attend a one day site visit. This provided valuable hands on experience and insight into the construction industry, helping to inspire future careers.
